Bird watching in Idaho-Wednesday May 15, 2013

Woke up at 7:00 am, the trucks are pretty noisy when they all head out in the morning.  Today we will head to Kuna, Idaho, where we plan to spend at least a couple of days in the Morley Nelson Snake River Birds of Prey Sanctuary.  We drove the twenty three miles to Kuna and then off on to a secondary road that runs around the Sanctuary.  We passed several pull offs that look like they would be okay to use for parking for the night.  We want to be inside the sanctuary at both dusk and dawn as that is supposed to be the best time.  Well this stop was a little disappointing.  We did not see anything special, a lot of swallows, pigeons, ravens, and only a couple of falcons, and kestrels.  The view of the Snake River was pretty.  We did unhook the jeep and drove down to Swan Falls Damn, it looked like a miniature compared to Bonneville Damn.
