When we left
Baker Reservoir we intended to drive back through St George, Utah and head west
to Virgin Lake Recreation area.
Unfortunately we ran into road construction just out of St George and
ended up missing the exit to the recreation area.
We finally
stopped at the next town Mesquite, Nevada.
We spent the night in an open gravel lot next to the Virgin River
Casino. So we did end up at the Virgin
River, just not the one we had intended.
We sat around looking at the map and decided in the morning we would
continue west and check out Las Vegas since we were so close.
