Traveling through central Utah-Friday May 17, 2013

We visited Cove Fort, in Central Utah.  In 1867 Brigham Young requested that Ira Hinckley build a fort on Cove Creek. The fort was to serve as a way station for pioneers traveling along the Mormon Corridor, which stretched from Idaho to Nevada. The fort has been restored to near original condition and the church member that took us on our tour was full of stories of the life of Ira Hinckley and his family.

We stayed just north of Parowan, Utah.
